The Experience

My approach is about capturing the motion and emotion of your story. There’s magic in these moments and I’m committed to documenting the journey, as it unfolds naturally. Your story, told like no other.

A simple promise that has guided how I serve couples for over a decade.

WEST ORANGE, NJ — Stephanie surprises Phil during their "first look".

Chapter I: Contact & Booking | 8-12 months before your wedding

This storytelling approach begins long before you walk down the aisle. To get started, please send over an inquiry via the contact section here. Afterward, I’ll follow-up to schedule a call. Our first call helps me get a better sense of your wedding vision and reveals big ideas for your custom photography collection.

During this time, I may connect with your wedding planner or other people directly involved in making your vision a reality. Whatever is needed to create the best work possible: photographs that leap off the page of your album and tell a story about who you are. After our call, I'll create a design summary, to present in person, that outlines your photography collection. If you support this vision and approach, I’ll follow-up with a written agreement and next steps to make it happen.

BROOKLYN, NY — Tovah and Kevin, at home.

Chapter II: Engagement Session | 4-8 months before

I believe in working discreetly yet decisively because you deserve to feel completely at ease throughout your celebration. Your first experience with this relaxed approach is an engagement session here in NYC. Most of these adventures begin in your home so pets are welcome and encouraged. While this session is a great time to get comfortable being photographed together, my focus is creating breathtaking images that celebrate your relationship. All of this set to the backdrop of your favorite places in New York City.

Chapter III: Research & Logistics | 2-7 months before

Leading up to your wedding, I go into research mode: gathering notes and visual references, finalizing logistics, scheduling site visits, as needed, and diving into the unique challenges plus opportunities of telling your story. Most of this preparation happens with little or no additional work on your part. This means we may not speak for months after your engagement session but we’ll definitely connect about one month before your wedding to review everything.

HORBEN, GERMANY — Hannah and Sebastian are treated to a ceremonial balloon send off.

Chapter IV: Wedding Day

By the time your wedding arrives, I’ll have a clear sense of what matters most and where to focus attention. All the while, you and your guests can relax at ease knowing that my team will capture the moments, without intruding or disturbing your celebration. I'm often joined by a second photographer but rarely a third. Behind the scenes, we're supported by a studio team to help everything run smoothly.

Chapter V: Design and Presentation | 1-3 months after

Design, editing and curation are the crown jewels of this studio. As a team, our focus is to turn the raw energy of your celebration into a fully edited photo essay: a fully edited collection of images that capture the motion and emotion of your story. If you live here in NYC, I’ll present this work at your home. After you approve designs, we finalize and deliver everything within two months. The result is a collection of fun, timeless and intimately real moments that tell your story, like no other.
